...but most I like to remember the soundtrack by LAHB. A beautiful lovesong to flickering lovemaking, a paraphrase on carribean tunes in the finale..
..the 4track mono production spreads atmosphere also without the pictures it was made for. sometimes sweet, sometimes weird, extremely song-oriented, always with a seasoned sense of trash humor. charming and entertaining..
...late but still, it reached me, the good austrian record and with it a world I believed to have lost. It's the soundtrack to a film and without having seen it: the music is just sensational! 13 short tracks, each of them more or less suspenseful, twisted, touching, funny, a popsong, balladesque, funky, delicate, minimalistically rough or just simply great: Hallers detailed and unpretentious placement of these jewels makes this album far more than a soundtrack, a beautiful work.
...constantly rotating in my cd-player...soundtrack phenomenal...melancholic....hilarious techno-quotations....order fast, so that he's not so alone anymore..

... strange atmospheric sounds, that this swampflower of austrian pop has written for movies like Suzie Washington or Jugofilm. Though clearly nothing for the hitparade, they're quite a listening experience.
... underground legend, multiintstrumentalist A.H. with [film-]compositions that don't need the pictures to entertain: electronic Hausmusik on the highest level.
... I like the doublebass, turkish and balkanese influences are there too, great!
...blah, blah... lame playing in a cheesy, beat driven noir mood...

...the continuously strong ensemble acts as if electrified and the driving soundtrack by LAHB keeps it all tight and compact..
...combining prerecorded compositions and live improvisation using the computer, Haller melts the individual performers as well as the two cooperating theatregroups into one unity, giving form and outline to the monotonous repertoire of their motions, while still providing not only a frame but a narrative element of its own...

...eine rhytmisch-merkwürdige Würdigung Afrikas, wie sie nur ein eigenbrötlerisch handelnder Musiker hinkriegen kann... Haller verfällt ostasiatischer Musik, deren Aufbereitung Sino- und Japanophile so wohl nicht durchgehen liessen....dabei weisen die wenigen Instrumentals eine Liebenswürdigkeit auf, der nur schwerlich zu entfliehen ist... doch ein wenig später klingt Bang Happy schon wieder ganz anders...

...Haller's arrangements are a joy, ranging from banging his ukulele like a percussion instrument to punctuate an a cappella rendition of "Upa! Upa!" to the discordant hip-hop bass line underlying "I Yi Yi Yi Yi (I Like You Very Much)." Omnipresent in a white suit, he twines his suave baritone around Coticchio's teasing, seductive vocals...
